ABOUT LARA LEE
Lara Lee Hullinghorst has 20 years of successful business development, operations and government relations experience.
In 1996, Lara Lee founded Virtual Operations, an operations and governmental relations consulting firm. She leveraged her relationships and expertise to serve clients as a consulting operations director and/or special projects manager to clients across several industries, including Technology, Legal, Financial, Hospitality, Environmental and Not-For-Profit. She managed projects totaling over 100 million dollars in expenditures, with all projects completed on time and on budget.
After September 11th, 2001, Lara Lee took a hiatus from Virtual Operations to become acting COO of New York Grant Company. During her 6 month tenure, she helped the company raise more than 11 million dollars in Federal and NY State grants (the average grant size was $50k) for businesses adversely affected by the 9-11 tragedy.
After spending several years in New York City, Lara Lee currently resides in Boulder, Colorado. She worked as a legislative aide for the Colorado State House of Representatives, spent 4 years co-organizing Boulder-Denver New Tech, is a former Chair of the Boulder Democratic Party, and has successfully lobbied issues at both the Federal and State level (including in California).
Lara Lee is a graduate of Vassar College, where she was awarded the Molly Thatcher-Kazan Prize for Excellence in Direction. She has completed 4 marathons and several half-marathons.
